WEEDEN NICKEL HORIZONTAL

Weeden Manufacturing toy engines depending on the model had either a brass or nickel plated finish on the boilers. In 1926 electric heating elements were introduced as a safety feature, several models were given new models numbers when they included this feature.

The Weeden No. 58 was produced from 1906 into 1931, base is 8 3/34" X 6 1/2" and it stands 9" high.

The Weeden No. 79 has a brass boiler finished in black nickel, the firebox is blued steel on a Maroon base that is 7 3/4" X 7". It stands 10 1/2" high. This model included a "safety lamp" feature where the burner was attached to the firebox door. Introduced in 1910 and produced into early 1930's.

The Weeden No.80 was introduced in 1910 and produced into 1918. The base is 8 1/2" X 7 1/4" and it stands 11" high.


Weeden No. 666

The Weeden No.666 is reversible by means of a lever on the steam chest. It was introduced in 1931 and produced for three years. Base is 8 3/4" X 7 1/2" and it stands 8 1/2" high.


Weeden No. 670

The Weeden No. 670 is an electrically heated reversible engine with a 3 1/2" diameter balance wheel with a 1/2" wide face, cylinder bore is 7/16". It is 8" tall, base is 6 3/4" X 9 1/2". It was introduced in 1930 and produced until 1940. Certain models were equipped with a governor.
